o ovo zine

A reflection on the zine as an embryonic body: fragile, portable, and charged with symbolic potential, where each fold acts as a shell and each page as the possibility of birth.

The zine and o ovo share the same symbolic condition: both operate as devices of latency, fragile surfaces that encapsulate potential, rupture, and birth. If the egg shelters the silent promise of a life in formation, the zine — through its precarious materiality and marginal circulation — contains the germination of dissident imaginaries, raw affections, and graphic experimentations. In both, there is an economy of the minimal gesture that precedes the eruption of the event: breaking the shell, opening the fold, accessing that which still pulses in an embryonic state.
